This is a pre-1840 fur trade era Rendezvous.  Visible camp gear, shelters, and costumes must reflect this time period.  Keep all modern items out of site at all times.  Bring a burlap, cotton, or canvas sack to cover your water jug & ice through camp.

Easy access!  Water hydrant on site!  New permanent hooters, the best you have seen at a primitive Rendezvous. BEAUTIFUL LOCATION!  The site is located on the beautiful 1200 acre Brushy Hollow Ranch.  Barren Creek runs around the Rendezvous site.  Swimming hole!    100 yard rifle range!  Woods walk!  Trap Range!  Archery range!  Hawk blocks!   Ice on site!  Hog roast & pot luck dinner Saturday evening.

Traders Row is located on flat ground and will be the first thing you see after you come through the main gate.   The long term camp is located on a glade slightly elevated above Traders Row.  Parking will be in the elk pens  which are screened from the camping & vendor areas by a wind break wall of large cedar trees.

Activities:   All shooting events will be with traditional firearms, flint or percussion, shooting a cloth patch round ball with open iron sites only.  NMLRA rules apply.  For shoot details, contact Phil Busicco at 417-948-2808.  On all Saturdays, which are public days, period dress is not required to participate in the day's events.  See camp bulletin board for the date & time of other events.  If you are putting on seminars or demonstrations, feel free to list them on the camp bulletin board.   2008 School Day is Friday, October 17th.  Contact Gina Hollingshad at 417-261-2474 to schedule a class visit.
